the best part of the episode was the very end.. the editing with Miss Talksalot rambling on and on all the way through the closing
credits. Hilarious.

Fri, September 12, 2008 - 7:50 AMWatching Tyra makes me uncomfortable- How she acts must work out in the end, as the show is very popular, but Geez!!! It gets so weird and hoaky. I was embarrassed for her!
But I did think there were a couple of girls who had better photos than I can remember seeing in awhile. Sorry, I don't remember names yet!
And Whitney's Life a a Cover Girl spots- they are gonna milk her "plus size-ness", obviously!!
I think Tyra should retire, and have Mr. Jay take over- he is so fabulous on Canada's Next Top Model. -

Fri, September 12, 2008 - 11:37 AMLast night I was rewatching the episode on my DVR, just for the reveal of Lauren Brie and McKey's photos. OMG...I cannot get enough of those shots. I was completely amazed with how professional they look as models. And let me not forget Elina. She's amazing.
I really really like Sheena. I'm asian. I want an asian to win. fake boobies or not. its time for the asian to win now.
the only reason whitney's "My Life" spots are any good are because none of them involve her speaking TO the camera, they are all voiced over. I don't like it when she smiles really big. She looks fonky.
Tyra has the whole "I'm going to be like Oprah and since and yell the words instead of just say them" syndrome and it's driving this girl insane! I can't bare to look at her anymore. -

Unfortunately I think the whole hooch factor might get in the way, that's what happened to Sara from cycle two (The wierd looking chick won, Yoanna?) who wasn't even hoin' it up and she was gorgeous. I like Isis as a person but they need to fix those teeth. . it's like a squirrel got in a fight with a donkey! I just hope Tyra doesn't exploit the crap out of her. . . and Whitney who? I just pretend that cycle didn't exhist =;P

I, for one, am happy that McKey won! She'll do the same type of MLAACV spots that Whitney did (not directly talking to the camera, voiceovers) and she'll get some runway walk teachings and be good to go. I sorta can't believe Annaleigh wasn't in the final 2.

I watch the show because it gives me a kind of hope for young women, the kind of hope young women need. I like the "kookiness" of it. I wasn't ready for my love of it to be ground up and spit out.
... I loved me some Majorie... with her crazy, nutty ass.

Sat, November 22, 2008 - 8:51 AMYeah, I was not ready either, but I really might be now. I turned it on every week, and then ended up doing other stuff with it on in the back ground. It just was not that great to watch. Tyra was just really... crazy. The way she is is not cute, or fun, or quirky. It is weird and scary and ackward to watch. But I say this now, and I bet I will try and watch again next cycle.... its like a bad drug! I just wish it would be how it was, and maybe it would help if Tyra stepped down.
That said, Yeah! for McKey. Of the choices, she was the best. I too was surprised that Analeigh was not in the top two.
Fun fact: A friend of mine went to high school with Sam's brother, and says Sam is pretty bitchy.
I liked Marjorie too!! She could have been great.
